Geological interpretation of gamma logs
Creators
Description
The measure of gamma radiation allows to detect the variations of natural radioactivity that comes from the changes in amount of uranium, thorium, trace elements in geological materials, and in the amount in potassium, major element of rocks; the well logging by gamma radiations is an important tool for lithologies and for the stratigraphy correlation because the amount of these elements changes from a type of rock to another.
