Albedo gamma-rays observation at energies above 30 MeV

Description

The albedo gamma-rays observations were carried out with the small gamma-ray telescope ''Elena-F'' aboard the orbital station ''Salyut-6'' at the 30-410 MeV and 50-420 MeV energy ranges. For the equatorial region (from 15 to 17.5 GV) the albedo gamma-rays fluxes are 40+-20 ph/m2-s-sr and 24+-14 ph/m2-s-sr at these energy ranges. The measured power law index of the differential energy spectrum is 1.6+-0.5. The intensity of the albedo gamma-rays as function of the vertical cut-off rigidity and zenith angle is observed. The comparison of the orbital station data with the simultaneous observations carried out on the balloon by means of the identical instrument is given
