Description
As a result of dosimetric and statistical analysis of conditions of electron therapy in 47 operated patients with laryngeal cancer, the linear dependence of incidence of local postoperative complications upon the value of integral doses is established. The quantitative index is established which generalizes the effect of a number of factors on the incidence of local postoperative complications. These factors are: the size and the number of irradiation fields, electron energy, the mass of irradiated tissues, mean tissue doze. The mathematical model is suggested which permits to forecast the number of local post-operative complications depending upon the value of integral dozes with the error of +-22%. Alongside with the account of known clinical factors the reduction integral dozes is the indispensable precondition for the reduction of the number of local post-operative complications in patients with laryngeal cancer
