Study of stability of tungsten vanadium heteropolyacids of tellurium(4) to alkali action

Description
Using the method of paper chromatography and spectrophotometry, the decomposition of tungsten vanadium heteropolyacids of tellurium (4) under the effect of NaOH is studied. It is shown, that heteropolyacids Te-10N-2V, Te-9W-3V, Te-8W-4V are stable to alkali action up to pH 2.5, 3.9, 4.3 respectively, i.e. an increase in the number of V atoms in the complex results in the increase in its stability to alkaline decomposition
