Description
The influence of the surface insulating coating on the magnetic properties of Fe82B12Si6 amorphous ribbons is investigated by hysteresis loop measurements and Moessbauer spectroscopy. Considerable interest is focused on the mechanism which is responsible for the observed changes of magnetic properties. It is shown that the suppression of surface roughness during the deposition procedure plays a dominant role. (author)
