Dynamics of nitrogen discharges in beams of electromagnetic radiation
Description
Results are presented from numerical simulations of microwave discharges in nitrogen which propagate toward the source of the microwave radiation. It is shown that when the front of the discharge is approximated as a plane both the continuous motion of the front in weak fields and the discontinuous propagation in strong fields can be described. 30 refs., 6 figs., 1 tab
