Proposal of experimental study on particle diffusion in superficially confined plasma by magnetic multi-dipole fields
Description
The anomalous particle diffusion in regions near to magnetic confinement walls due to ion acoustic turbulence in superficially confined quiescent plasma is studied comparing the measured diffusion coefficient with the Bohm diffusion coefficient. The plasma diagnostics are carried out using Langmuir probe, electron and ion energy analyzers, emission probes for measuring plasma potential and, mass spectrometer, the purchase of data acquisition system composed by storage unit and signal register interfaced with IBM PC computer is proposed for simultaneous measurements with several diagnostics in the quiescent plasma machine of LAP-INPE operating in pulsed regime.
