Study of the vibrational compaction of candidate target materials

Description

Factors affecting densities of vibrationally compacted cylinders of lithium aluminate and lithium silicate were studied. The maximum packing efficiency achieved for both materials was about 84 percent of the particle density. It is concluded that the method of sizing (jaw crushing) the materials affected packing efficiencies
