Method for identifying lists of initiating events of severe accidents based on analysis of the Fukushima-1 accident

Description
Based on a preliminary analysis of the main causes of the NPP Fukushima-1 accident, limitations of traditional approaches to the development of severe accident management guidelines are justified. We propose a promising method for identifying lists of initiating events of severe accidents that takes into account the background of beyond-design-basis accident consequences and state of the systems at the beginning accident consequences and state of the systems at the beginning os a severe accident
