The impact of human reliability as a factor of the aggregate reliability of man-machine systems is an often discussed topic, but so far there is only little information on methods for human reliability analysis and assessment and the methods available are not well known, although they indeed yield useful information for problem solution in practice. These methods do however not come up to the standard of methods applied for technical reliability assessment. (orig.)

Der Einfluss menschlicher Zuverlaessigkeit auf die Gesamtzuverlaessigkeit von Mensch-Maschine-Systemen wird zwar oft betont, Konzepte und Methoden der Analyse und Bewertung dieses Gesichtspunktes sind jedoch bisher noch wenig bekannt und verbreitet. Die verfuegbaren Methoden koennen bei konsequenter Anwendung fuer in der Praxis auftretende Fragestellungen brauchbare Aussagen liefern, wenn auch der hohe Stand der Verfahren der Analyse und Bewertung technischer Zuverlaessigkeit derzeit nicht erreichbar ist.
