A whole-body counting system employing two 5 inch phoswich detectors

Description

A whole-body counting system is essential for the assessment radionuclides in human lungs. A phoswich detector is needed for the assessment of actinides. NRCN operated for several years a system based on a 8 inch dia. NaI(Tl)-CsI(Tl) phoswich detector. The detector had to be replaced and it was decided to operate a new system with two 5 inch detectors. (author)
