The energy-momentum-tensor in quantumelectrodynamics

Description

This work deals with the operator properties of the energy-momentum-tensor (ET) in the framework of quantum electrodynamics. The principles of construction of the ET are discussed for quantized fields in the Schwinger variation principle. Dealing with the conserved quantities for quantized fields operator problems are coming up in the Coulomb gauge because Dirac- and Maxwellfield do not commute completely. Further on contemporary commutators of the ET components are investigated mutually. Finally non-canonical methods are developed. (WL)

Abstract (German)

Die Arbeit befasst sich mit den Operatoreigenschaften des Energie-Impuls-Tensors(ET) im Rahmen reiner Quantenelektrodynamik. Die Konstruktionsprinzipien fuer den ET werden im quantisierten Fall im Schwingerschen Variationsprinzip diskutiert. Bei der Behandlung der Erhaltungssaetze fuer quantisierte Felder in der Coulomb-Eichung treten Operatorprobleme auf, da Dirac- und Maxwellfeld nicht vollstaendig vertauschbar sind. Weiter werden gleichzeitige Kommutatoren der Komponenten des ET untereinander untersucht. Am Schluss werden noch nichtkanonische Verfahren entwickelt. (WL)
