Collective mass parameters in heavy ion scattering

  • 1. Frankfurt Univ. (F.R. Germany). Inst. fuer Theoretische Physik

Description

In a model which describes the scattering of heavy ions by the relative distance between the nuclei and collective degrees of freedom, the structure of the kinetic energy depending on the collective coordinates and the relative distance is investigated. A Hamiltonian for the scattering process is derived.
