Environment report 1990 of the Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Protection and Reactor Safety
Description
The 'Environment Report 1990' describes the environmental situation in the Federal Republic of Germany; draws a balance of environmental policy measures taken and introduced; gives information on future fields of action in environmental policy. The 'Environment Report 1990' also deals with the 'Environment Expert Opinion 1987', produced by the board of experts on environmental questions. It contains surveys of the following sectors: Protection against hazardous materials air pollution abatement, water management, waste management, nature protection and preservation of the countryside, soil conservation, noise abatement, radiation protection, reactor safety. A separate part of the 'Environment Report 1990' deals with the progress made in 'interdisciplinary fields' (general law on the protection of the environment, instruments of environmental policy, environmental information and environmental research, transfrontier environmental policy). Der 'Umweltbericht 1990' beschreibt die Umweltsituation in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland; zieht Bilanz der getroffenen und eingeleiteten umweltpolitischen Massnahmen; gibt Hinweise auf kuenftige Handlungsfelder der Umweltpolitik. Er enthaelt Darstellungen zu den einzelnen Sektoren der Umweltpolitik: - Schutz vor Gefahrstoffen, - Luftreinhaltung, - Wasserwirtschaft, - Abfallwirtschaft, - Naturschutz und Landschaftspflege, - Bodenschutz, - Laermbekaempfung, - Strahlenschutz, Reaktorsicherheit, Versorgung und Entsorgung der Kernkraftwerke und anderer kerntechnischer Einrichtungen. In einem gesonderten Teil geht der 'Umweltbericht 1990' auf die Fortschritte in den 'Querschnittsbereichen' ein (u.a. allgemeines Umweltrecht, grenzueberschreitende Umweltpolitik, Umweltinformationen und Umweltforschung).
