Some Methods of Solving Neutron Thermalization Theory Problems

Description

The paper deals with the basis of small-group methods, i.e. it indicates a way (collision method) of deriving that part of the total neutron spectrum which can be calculated with good accuracy using a small number of groups. As an example, an appropriate system of equations for the intersecting-group method is formulated. The quasi-diffusion method of solving kinetic equations is generalized for thermalization problems. The suitability of the method for thermalization problems is discussed. The authors explain the influence of chemical bonds and kinetic effects on neutron thermalization in temperature gradient systems. (author)

Daetsja obosnovanie malogruttovyh metodov, t.e. ukazyvaetsja sposob (metod stolknovenij) vydelenija takoj chasti polnogo spektra nejtronov, kotoraja s horoshej tochnost'ju mozhet byt' vychislena nebol'shim chislom grupp. V kachestve primera formuliruetsja sootvetstvujushhaja sistema uravnenij metoda perekryvajushhihsja grupp. Provoditsja obobshhenie kvazidiffuzionnogo metoda reshenija kineticheskogo uravnenija na zadachi termalizacii. Analiziruetsja shodimost' jetogo metoda v zadachah termaliza- cii. Vyjasnjaetsja vlijanie himicheskih svjazej i kineticheskih jeffektov na termalizaciju nejtronov v sistemah s gradientami temperatur.
