Electrical and magnetic properties of palladium-tungsten alloys

Description

Studied are electrical and magnetic properties of Pd-W alloys. Determined are electrical resistance (up to 1100 deg C), magnetic susceptibility (80-300 K) and Hall coefficients of solid solutions of tungsten in palladium (up to 12.5 at. % W) for a deformed and annealed material. Observed is a sharp increase of electrical resistance with tungsten concentration and after annealing as well. It is stated that this change is not connected with the magnetic scattering of the carriers and apparently is determined by the Coulomb mechanism
