The "removal" from the controlled area

Time and again, the author is asked about "removal from the controlled area" in discussions with operators of nuclear facilities and installations. This topic obviously has a high practical relevance; however, the regulation in radiation protection law is not entirely clear and leaves room for doubt. Therefore, the handling of this issue obviously differs from facility to facility, at least in nuances. In this respect, it is worth to take a look at this instrument of radiation protection from a legal perspective.

Immer wieder kommt es vor, dass der Verfasser in Unterhaltungen mit Betreibern kerntechnischer Anlagen und Einrichtungen auf das "Herausbringen aus dem Kontrollbereich" angesprochen wird. Dieses Thema hat offenkundig eine hohe praktische Relevanz; die Regelung im Strahlenschutzrecht ist jedoch nicht ganz eindeutig und lässt Raum für Zweifelsfragen; und so ist offenbar auch die Handhabung von Anlage zu Anlage zumindest in Nuancen verschieden. Insofern lohnt sich ein Blick durch die juristische Brille auf dieses Instrument des Strahlenschutzes.Additional details
