Limited scope NESA of LMFR

Description

Project objectives and scope: • Project splits into three individual NESAs; • Every NESA study will be focused on specific national design; • Level of details published in TECDOC-1716 for evolutionary reactor will be used as a target (will depend on input availability); • NESA of LMFR will determine if the new edition of the methodology will perform as intended for the case of LMFR, e.g.: – In Economics - distribution of expenses between two products, i.e. energy and plutonium, at various conversion ratios; – In Safety - demonstration of reliability and capability of safety features. • NESA of LMFR may help to identify potential gaps in R&D and deployment program and to define follow-up actions to close these gaps; • Exchange of information appreciated among project participants, however no observers envisaged; • Potential publication will be discussed after obtaining the results.
