Description

Composite fuel assembly for a liquid cooled breeder reactor comprising parallel fuel elements, closely arranged inside a vertically orientated thin walled polygonal metal duct. The fuel elements include breeder elements and feeder elements. The cross section of the breeder elements is greater than the feeder elements and each breeder element is surrounded by feeder elements, all these feeder elements having fissionable fuel of significantly similar enrichment

Assemblage combustible composite pour un reacteur nucleaire surregenerateur refroidi par liquide comprenant des elements combustibles paralleles, etroitement disposes a l'interieur d'un conduit polygonal metallique a parois minces, oriente verticalement. Les elements combustibles comportent des elements surregenerateurs et des elements nourriciers, les elements surregenerateurs ont une section transversale plus importante que les elements nourriciers et chaque element surregenerateur est entoure par des elements nourriciers, la totalite de ces elements nourriciers possedant du combustible fissionnable sensiblement de meme enrichissement
