BLACKOUT - the total loss of power supply in the WWER 440/213 NPP calculation by the CATHARE computer code with the steam injector model

Description

The theoretical model verification of the steam injector within framework of accident progress in the nuclear power plant computation was one among objectives of the DEEPSSI project devoted to the experimental and theoretical work in connection with the steam injector. The steam injector should be considered for the water feeding passive system to steam generators what is one among the possible cases of the steam injector utilization in nuclear power plant. This passive system will apply in situation where the active system cannot be used (electric power driven pumps). The typical accident of this type is the total loss of power supply - blackout. The WWER 440/213 nuclear power plant was chosen as the modelled plant. Certain deficiencies in the emergency steam generator feeding were indicated for this type of the nuclear power plant in the past. Utilization of the steam injector could be one among possible alternatives to resolve these deficiencies. In the report, the input data model of the nuclear power plant for the CATHARE computer code are given. The computer code progress as well as courses of some computed quantities are described
