Implementation of security of radioactive sources in use and storage at Pusdiklat - BATAN

Pusdiklat BATAN uses radioactive sources for training purposes. Thus, Pusdiklat BATAN must fulfil safety requirements and implement the security for radioactive sources based on BAPETEN Chairman Regulation No. 6/2015. To make sure that Pusdiklat BATAN has been implementing it, it is necessary to review, through documentation review, observation and interview, the implementation of radioactive source security in Pusdiklat BATAN. It was found that Pusdiklat BATAN has assigned personals to do radioactive source management and has a program to fulfil security equipment required by the regulation, however Pusdiklat BATAN needs to develop security procedures, as one of security system component, and has to test the performance of its security system periodically to make sure it fulfils security functions.
