Description

CoFeCu films were grown on polycrystalline Titanium substrate by electrodeposition technique. The properties of the films were investigated as a function the deposition parameters of the deposition potential, the electrolyte pH, the film thickness and the electrolyte concentration. The electrochemical characterisation of the electrolytes was studied by using cyclic voltammetry (CV) method. Structural analysis of films was made using X ray diffraction. It was observed that the CoCu films show a mixed hexagonal closed packed and face centred cubic phase while the CoFeCu films show body centred cubic phase. The vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) measurements show that the magnetic properties are sensitive to deposition parameters, and the easy axis is in the film plane. Magnetoresistance measurement of CoFeCu alloy films made at the magnetic fields up to ±10 kOe at room temperature indicated that CoFeCu films show anisotropic magnetoresistance
