PbTe-CdTe system
Description
The methods of differential thermal and metallographic analyses have been used to investigate the phase diagram of the PbTe-CdTe system. It is shown, that it is the phase diagram of eutectic type with limited mutual solubility of the components in the solid condition. The eutectic contarns 35 mol.% CdTe and crystallizes at (1143+-2)K. The CdTe solubility in the PbTe at the eutectic temperature is equal to 32 mol.%, and the PbTe in CdTe - less than 1 mol.%
