The discourse of nuclear engineering professionals on the influence of the master's and/or doctorate degree in the construction of their academic and professional identities
Creators
Description
Considering that research related to the training of Brazilian nuclear scientists is still somewhat lacking, despite the extensive literature on Brazilian nuclear policy, few studies have focused on training and its impact on the development of their academic and professional identities, as well as on their life trajectories. Thus, this project aims to fill this gap by addressing the construction and development of the professional and academic identity of specialists who attended the Strictu Sensu postgraduate courses offered by the Nuclear Engineering Program of COPPE/UFRJ, revealing the training process of these scientists. A reflection on the autonomy achieved throughout this process is also essential to understand the impact of the program on the lives of its students and professionals. By addressing this topic, we hope to contribute to a more comprehensive view of the role of postgraduate education in the training of professionals who are trained and committed to the advancement of nuclear engineering
