Description

An EBIS (Electron Beam Ion Source) with continuous ion production and extraction has been developed. Avoiding a containment the ions were ionized by an axial electrical gradient in their time-of-flight. The extraction is done through the cathode. (WL)

Abstract (German)

Eine EBIS (Electron Beam Ion Source) mit kontinuierlicher Ionenproduktion und Extraktion wurde entwickelt. Durch Vermeidung eines containment und einen axialen elektrischen Gradienten werden die Ionen rasch in der Flugzeit ionisiert. Die Extraktion erfolgt durch die Kathode. (WL)
