Mount design for radio telescope for solar application
Description
The design of an altazimuth mounting was presented in response to the need to provide researchers at the Centro de Investigaciones Espaciales (CINESPA) with the necessary tools to carry out research in the field of astrophysics. The atmospheric, seismic and geographical conditions were taken into account to define the application requirements. The Sun's relative movement to Earth and its nature in the radio spectrum were studied. The possibility of reusing the previous frame was evaluated. A systemic design approach was developed to explore various solutions, in order to determine an option that would involve less investment, greater ease of construction and installation, without compromising functionality. The detailed design and selection were made with only limited mechanical components. The design of a completely new frame was made due to the complexity of reusing the previous frame. El diseno de una montura altazimutal fue presentado como respuesta a la necesidad de dotar a los investigadores del Centro de Investigaciones Espaciales (CINESPA) con las herramientas necesarias para el desarrollo de investigaciones en el campo de la astrofisica. Las condiciones atmosfericas, sismicas y geograficas fueron tomadas en cuenta para definir los requerimientos de la aplicacion. El movimiento del Sol relativo a la Tierra y su naturaleza en las longitudes de onda de radio fueron estudiados. La posibilidad de reutilizar la montura previa fue evaluada. Un enfoque sistemico de diseno fue desarrollado para explorar diversas soluciones, con el fin de determinar una opcion que implicase una menor inversion, mayor facilidad de construccion e instalacion, sin comprometer la funcionalidad. El diseno detallado y la seleccion fueron realizados limitandose unicamente de los componentes mecanicos. El diseno de una montura completamente nueva fue realizado debido a la complejidad de reutilizar la montura previa.
