Hydrogenation of rare earth alloys
Description
The dependence of the rate of H2 absorption by non-activated rare earth (La, Ce, Sm, Er, Nd, Sc) alloys with d-metals (Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Ru) on their chemical and phase composition is investigated. Kinetics of interaction with hydrogen of compact rare earth alloys with d-metals is determined from their phase and chemical composition and surface state. Monophase samples with perfect structure are hydrogenated most slowly. Ruthenium- and manganese additions increase the hydrogen absorption rate
