CT examination of the maxillary carcinoma with intraorbital extension

The thirty nine patients of the maxillary carcinoma were analyzed on CT scans retrospectively. The twenty one of all patients had intraorbital extensions and divided into six intraorbital routes, namely superior route via roof of the maxillary sinus, medio-superior route via lateral wall of the ethmoid sinus, postero-superior route via the inferior orbital fissure, latero-superior route via the parazygomatic bone, supraorbital route via the lateral recess and antero-superior route via the infraorbital part of the maxilla.
