A summary of the third international spent fuel storage symposium/workshop, held in Seattle, Washington, USA, 8-10 April 1986
Description
The Third International Spent Fuel Storage Symposium/Workshop had two topics: dry storage and rod consolidation, focusing principally on light-water reactor (LWR) fuel. The meeting had three formats: a two-day symposium, a poster session, and a one-day workshop. There were 207 attendees from 14 countries. The meeting was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management and the Richland Operations Office and was organized by the Pacific Northwest Laboratory, with assistance from DWK (FRG), EPRI, Ontario-Hydro, and the IAEA.
