Mass versus superconducting-gap generation: The operator formulation for N=2

Description
We consider the operator realization of dynamical mass versus superconducting-gap generation in a two-dimensional O(2)-symmetric model. We show the existence of two phases which are characterized by a topologically conserved charge. The equivalence to the massive/super- conducting Thirring model is established
