Strength and fracture in TaV-10 tantalum alloy under shock wave loading

Description

Investigation results for strength and fracture of tantalum alloy Ta under shock-wave loading are studied. The critical load levels corresponding to generation of spalling microinjuries and to a complete macroscopic spal fracture are determined. Standard mechanical characteristics of the alloy are obtained under statical conditions of uniaxial tension. The metallographic analysis of the alloy structure and character of its fracture under shock-wave loading and uniaxial tension is carried out
