Data acquisition system with high speed and multi-channel for γ-ray industrial CT

Description

In order to meet the requirements of high speed and multi-channel of data acquisition for γ-ray industrial CT, a data acquisition system of high speed is designed to collect data with high speed. γ-ray is transformed into current signal. Then, the signal is sent to circuit of signal processing to be amplified, filtered and frequency-division. The signal, processed by FPGA counting units, is transmitted to main controlling FPGA. Finally, USB2.0 interface chip works in the slave FIFO mode, and transmits data to host computer for image reconstruction under the bulk transmission mode. Main controlling FPGA is the control core, which controls the FIFO in USB2.0. What's more, FPGA counting units can increase, to acquire more channels' data in work space. Experimental results indicates that the transmission rate is high, which can reach 35 MB/s, and the system can add 11 FPGA counting units and acquire 1024 channels' data at most. So that, it can satisfy the system requirements of rapid speed for γ-ray industrial CT. (authors)
