A macroscopic model for fast rotating nuclei
Description
An energy functional is proposed to determine the density distribution and energy surface of fast rotating nucleus. It is found that the calculated energy surface is different from that of the liquid drop model for nucleus with large deformations and the density may deviate considerably from a uniform distribution
