Position index method of macroscopic few-group cross section spectral correction

Description
Global neutronic properties of WWER cores are described using macroscopic few-group parameters that are determined by asymptotic fuel lattice cell calculations. In such cell calculations the actual interaction between regions of different material composition cannot be taken into account. A method is presented which allows to correct this error in a simple manner and, moreover, is appropriate to treating the WWER-1000 movable cluster absorbers. Preliminary results are presented to verify this method. (author)
