A comment on the bone of contention: The use of plutonium

Description
To support the legal action filed by the government of North-Rhine Westphalia with the Supreme Federal Court with respect to the prohibition of further use of plutonium, Professor Kuni, nuclear medicine at Marburg, made an expert's opinion which has not yet been published. It is to show the particular danger of this substance for man and environment, and to prove that the protection of the nonimpairment of life as laid down in the constitution cannot be guaranteed in case of further use of plutonium. The author comments on individual statements of the expert's opinion by classifying them as insubstantial, by correcting them and by pointing to contradictions. (orig./HP)
Abstract (German)
Um die Klage des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen vor dem Bundesverfassungsgericht ueber das Verbot weiterer Plutonium-Nutzung zu unterstuetzen, hat der Marburger Nuklearmediziner Kuni ein bisher nicht veroeffentlichtes Gutachten verfasst. Es soll die besondere Gefaehrlichkeit dieses Stoffes fuer Mensch und Umwelt zeigen und den Beweis erbringen, dass der im Grundgesetz garantierte Schutz der Unversehrtheit des Lebens bei weiterer Plutonium-Nutzung nicht mehr zu gewaehrleisten sei. Einzelne Aussagen des Gutachtens werden als unrichtig bezeichnet, richtig gestellt, Widersprueche werden aufgezeigt. (orig./HP)Additional details
