Description
Vaporization events have been studied using 36Ar-58Ni collisions in a broad excitation energy range from 8 to 28 A.MeV. They are produced in binary collisions. After reconstruction of the two sources of emission, the yields and the energy spectra of the different species have been studied and compared with the predictions of two statistical models. The model describing the properties of a gas of fermions and bosons in thermal and chemical equilibrium reproduces rather well both the energies and the yields suggesting that thermodynamical equilibrium has been reached by each source.
