SPECIAL FEATURES OF PRODUCTION OF THIN FILMS BY MODIFICATION OF SmS

Description
Thin films of SmS in semiconductor and metallic modifications were produced by vacuum evaporation of the initial components Sm and S from independent sources. The metallic SmS phase with the lattice constant equal to 5.63 Å was isolated. The semiconductor-metal phase transition in the films produced is discussed. (author)
