Description

A VVER-440 fuel assembly removed from the Unit-4 of NVNPP, after operation in during one, two and three fuel cycles, was investigated in the hot cell for the determination of burnup and isotope composition. For the fuel rods from which the samples were taken the position of these samples in the fuel rod height and the burnup value obtained using three experimental methods are shown. The post-irradiation composition of U, Pu, Am and Cm nuclides in the samples investigated are given. The actual operation data: reactor thermal power, boric acid concentration, number of operating main circulation pumps, inlet coolant temperature, position of the twelfth (control) group and other control rod groups are shown.
