Description
The radiological effects of the nuclides released through the borehole penetrating a radioactive waste repository are evaluated. The release rates of the long-lived radionuclides are computed using the model considering the diffusion in the water-filled borehole and the rock matrix. Transport of radionuclides in the aquifer is computed using an analytic solution. The result shows that total dose rates for 500,000 years are most originated from Tc-99 and the maximum committed dose rate is 3.29 x 10-15 mrem/yr
