Boron recovery from reactor effluents
Description
The objective of the research task is to investigate, to demonstrate, and to evaluate possible processes for the removal of boron from PWR Low Level Liquid Waste in view of achieving higher waste volume-reduction factors. The research programme consists of laboratory-scale experiments on simulant solutions, the design, the construction, and the operation of an active pilot installation. The scientific programme, objectives, achievements in this research area at the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre SCK-CEN are given
