Modular steam generators for nuclear power plants

Creators

Description

The production and operating feasibility is described of a modular configuration of steam generators for pressurized-water and fast reactors of nuclear power plants. The results are presented of the investigation of sodium-water interactions, of the values of heat transfer and temperature pulsation, and of the starting, steady-state and emergency modes of the steam generators. The experiments carried out so far showed that the Czechoslovak design of modular steam generator is characteristic of stable operation in the separator mode with an output of 5 to 30 MW. (J.K.)
