Description
One of the methods for investigating the atom excitation process is near threshold spectroscopy. The essence of this method is measurement of low residual energy electrons from non-elastic process of atom and molecular excitation. Peak identification in such obtained spectra is necessary for further experimental data analysis. recording of the spectra requires time and effort and frequently due to inevitable measurement errors, experimental equipment deficiencies, presence of noise, obtained spectra can not be analyzed by the usual methods. In this paper an expert system is presented that was developed with the aim to speed up and automate the experimental data analysis, and enables the processing of spectra that can not be analyzed by the usual methods.
