In-pile γ fuel scanning: apparatus and methods of processing developed at Siloe

Description
The detection facility of the in-pile γ-scanning unit at Siloe is briefly described: shielding and collimation, scanning and detection bench. The data acquisition system is controlled by a MITRA-15 computer connected through a CAMAC system to the 4000 channel analyzer and to the control of the motors of the bench. The remote control of the whole set is achieved from the outer part of the containment. The autonomy of the γ detection system at Siloe is achieved by integrating into the system an on-line processing program for a fast computation of the nuclide distributions in absolute value. The radial distribution of the fission products inside the fuel is one of the parameters determining the total absolute yield, from the self-absorption

On decrit rapidement l'installation de detection de la chaine de scrutation γ en pile installee a Siloe: protection et collimation, banc de defilement et detection. L'ensemble autonome d'acquisition des mesures est regi par un calculateur MITRA 15 relie par systeme CAMAC a l'analyseur 4000 canaux et aux commandes des moteurs du banc. L'ensemble est commande a distance depuis l'exterieur de l'enceinte de confinement. L'autonomie complete du systeme de gammametrie a SILOE est realisee par l'integration au systeme d'un programme de depouillement en ligne permettant l'obtention rapide de repartitions de nucleides en valeur absolue. La repartition radiale des produits de fission a l'interieur du combustible est l'un des facteurs qui determinent la courbe de rendement global absolu, par l'intermediaire de l'auto-absorptionFiles
