Laser stabilization based on cavity made of silicon with crystalline coatings GaAs/AlGaAs

Description

We consider the creation of lasers with fractional frequency instability of 10-16 implemented by high-quality Fabry-Perot cavities. Crystalline coatings GaAs/AlGaAs reduce the thermal noise limit of cavity stability. Vacuum cryostat was assembled for cooling down the cavity for the thermal expansion coefficient to be zero. We have studied finesse and birefringence of crystalline coatings. Laser was locked to a cavity mode

Abstract (Russian)

Рассматривается разработка высокостабильных лазерных систем с относительной нестабильностью частоты порядка 10-16 . Стабилизация частоты осуществляется по высокодобротным кремниевым резонаторам Фабри-Перо. Использование зеркал с кристаллическим покрытием GaAs/AlGaAs позволяет понизить уровень тепловых шумов, ограничивающих стабильность частоты. Для охлаждения резонатора до температуры нулевого теплового расширения собран вакуумный криостат. Проведены исследования резкости и двулучепреломления кристаллических зеркал. Реализована стабилизация частоты лазера к моде резонатора
