Relation of the solar wind MHD flow in the transition region to VLF radiation in the Earth magnetosphere

Description
Data are investigared of VLF low-latitude radiations, obtained at the Ariel-4 satellite in magnetically calm periods, when Dst≥-15 nT, Kp≤2. A connection of the radiation appearence probability with the instability of large-scale flow of the solar wind near the magnetosphere is revealed. Short communication. 4 refs
