Development of new type artificial nuclide aerosol monitor
Description
A new prototype radioactive aerosol monitor with particle size separation and thin air layer vacuum pumping teach was designed and developed to improve the detection sensitivity according the big difference particle size between radon progeny and artificial radionuclide in very special situation and reduce air absorbing effect. Developed monitor was tested, and results show detection sensitivity was improved 2 to 15 times compare with tradition method base on applied in very special situation. Detection sensitivity of monitor with new method will be improved more with the increase of radon level compare with traditional method in the very special situation. (author)
