Creators
Description
A capacitor is described comprising flexible elongated metallic structure providing a lead to a capacitor anode formed of sintered tantalum powder. The flexible structure comprises a tantalum wire having a cross-section less than 1 mm. The wire comprises a core of a metal other than tantalum and at least one discrete surface layer of tantalum surrounding the core. The tantalum layer has a radial thickness less than 0.3 mm, both ends of the lead being outside of the sintered anode body whereby none of the core metal is exposed to the sintered tantalum powder of the anode
