Superconductivity in thick films of YBa2Cu3O6+x and Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O

Description
The authors report on thick films of YBa2Cu3O6+x and nominally Bi2-xPbxSr2Ca2Cu3Oy prepared on MgO, yttria stabilized zirconia and calcia stabilized zirconia. Superconducting films of YBa2Cu3O6+x with Tczero>770Κ were formed on MgO, while interactions with YSZ and CSZ degraded the properties of films prepared on those substrates. For the Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O system, films with the cation ratio of 1.6:0.4:1.5:1.5:2 yielded the best results
