Description

The search for the intermediate-mass Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider is presented. Background processes and signals for the intermediate mass Higgs, i.e. one for which mW ≤ mH ≤ 2mW, are discussed. It is pointed out that the search for Higgs bosons in the region around and just above the Z0-mass puts very stringent limits on the detectors and that this region can be fully explored only with a very high luminosity option.
