Protons production in (p, d, α, C)C interactions at 4,2 GeV/c per nucleon and in pNe interactions at 300 GeV/c

Description

This thesis is devoted to the investigation of secondary protons production in hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus interactions. The multiplicities, momentum and angular spectra of secondary protons have been studied. Multiplicity correlations are observed for charged particles emitted into forward and backward hemispheres in hadron nuclear interactions at incident energies of E0 = 4 - 300 GeV. It is shown experimentally that processes of absorption of slow pions by two-nucleon ('quasideuteron') systems may play an important role in production of cumulative nucleons. Experimental data are presented on momentum spectra of secondary protons emitted into forward hemisphere. It is shown that the shape of the spectrum of secondary protons strictly depends on the presence or absence of pions and cumulative protons in the event. Narrow singularities are observed in the M(2p) and the M(4p) distributions, which may be considered as an evidence for the existence of resonances in the two-proton and for-proton system.
